I have a folder on my harddrive where I do and collect small exercises I impose on myself. I went through it today and decided to do some iterations on a simple clock-thing I made some time (years?) ago.

It now shows the current date, has meaningful colours that change throughout the whole year by blending seamlessly through months and seasons and also reflect the light of day by having their shininess / transparencies affected by retrieving the time for local sunrise and sunset from OpenWeatherMap (Above are two mornings in a January before and after sunrise). Still a lot of tweaking to do as I would really like to try and give an impression of the day’s vibe at any given hour so it’d be nice to implement some actual weather imformation. But then again, if today is any indicator, it’d turn all into shades of muddy grey for the next months.
