Behind the scenes of Of Looking. I came across IOGraphica today, a nice little app that traces all the mouse movements across the system and saves the result as a picture. Like the one above: a little over two hours of scrolling a map and compositing the results. I like how clearly it shows the process from the long scrolling streaks at the top culminating in the cluster on the right where I clicked my taskbar to switch to Photoshop after each screen capture over to the choas in the middle of moving stuff around to finally the lower right where I managed the up to 126 layers.
The two big blobs (the app does not visualise clicks but a resting mouse instead) are the result of my kid not sleeping and a visit to the kiosk.
